Leo Messi Won The UEFA Best Player award for the 2010/2011

(AGI) Monaco - Argentina's Leo Messi has won the Uefa Best Player award for the 2010/2011 season. The recently introduced "Uefa best player" award is presented to the best European footballer of the year as it was the case with the old Ballon D'Or award. The Barcelona champion beat his team mate Xavi and Cristiano Rolando who had also been short listed for the award.
  The jury consists of a number of European journalists who cast their vote in real time. No Italian players were among the 18 footballers who received at least one vote. . .
